I only use top quality paper including acid free Windsor & Newton smooth surface heavy weight cartridge paper (100 lbs / 220 gsm) and acid free Daler Rowney smooth-heavyweight paper (135lbs / 220 gsm).

I use Daler Rowney graphite pencils usually ranging in softness from HB (medium softness) through to 8B (very soft).

I use Windsor and Newton paints and Daler Rowney acrylic paper.

I only use top quality stretched canvas, paper or canvas board for my paintings.

Can you post drawings out to me?

Yes I can post your portrait out to you, prices will vary depending on the size and weight of your portrait and where you live. Please ask if you'd like it posted to you.

Do I need to pay a deposit?

A small 20% deposit is required and nothing else needs to be paid until you are 100% happy with your completed portrait.

Can any changes be made to the drawings after they are done?

The photo that the portrait will be painted or drawn from will be fully agreed from the start and nothing can be added / removed once the drawing has started.  However, small reasonable changes can be made to drawings after completion if you think anything needs to be altered. For example, the shading of hair, eyes, position of features etc.  I want you to be 100% happy with your drawing so if you think your drawing would look better with some changes, then please let me know!

Can you do a drawing merging several photos together?

Yes I can do a drawing of different subjects from different photographs, as long as both photos are good quality and high resolution.

How long does it take you to do a drawing?

Drawings usually take around 1-3 weeks to do, depending on the size and complexity of the drawing.  Please allow a bit more time for your order during busy times eg, Christmas time.  If you would also like your drawing to be professionally framed, this takes at least one further week to be done.

Can a drawing be collected or delivered locally?

Drawings can be collected from Killearn, Stirlingshire and I am happy to deliver drawings free of charge if you live nearby.
